Froggy went a courtin and he did ride
Sword and a pistol by his side

He rode right up to miss Mousie’s door
Gave 3 taps and it fell on the floor

He took miss Mousie on his knee
And said miss Mousie will you marry me?

Mousie said “I don’t know about that
I’ll have to talk it over with my Uncle Rat”

“Without Uncle Rat’s consent, i wouldn’t marry the president”

Froggy was born at the bottom of a well
And the mouse was born up in the mill

When Uncle Rat gave his consent
The weasel made the publishment

What will she have for a wedding gown?
A piece of the hide of an old white hound

Way over yonder in a hollow tree

Then come in was a little grey mouse
Said hey mr Froggy can I rent you a house?

Last come in was an old tom cat
He ate the mouse and he ate the rat

Froggy went swimming across the lake
And got swallowed up by a big black snake
